We welcome Dr. Rachel Sullivan to our BioBalance Health practice in Kansas City. Dr. Sullivan is a Family Medicine Physician, licensed in three states, Texas, Kansas, and Missouri. Dr. Sullivan attended high school in St. Louis at Mary Institute& Country Day High school. She then attended San Diego University and obtained two undergraduate degrees in four years- Business Administration and Biology. Following in the footsteps of her mother, Dr. Kathy Maupin, Rachel Sullivan DO always wanted to become a doctor. She attended the first Osteopathic Medical School in the nation, AT Still, and became a Doctor of Osteopathic medicine from their Phoenix, Arizona location. She now is in private practice in Kansas City, and wears two hats, one as a Family Medicine physician at a private medical Clinic in Independence Missouri, and another as a Bio-identical hormone replacement Specialist at BioBalance Health- Kansas City.
Dr. Sullivan is a passionate and concerned physician who proclaims her desire to help her patients live long and healthy lives. She relates that the saddest thing in medicine for her is when her patients cannot afford their medical care and their medicines. Of particular concern are those patients who are diabetic and have to choose between buying food and housing, and buying medicine. She works hard to find solutions and help for these patients, as well as care diligently for all of her patients.
Rachel is also planning to concentrate part of her BioBalance practice on assisting individuals who are going through gender reassignment. She provides one portion of the care that is needed by these patients-the hormone replacement portion.
