DEA and NIH approval of bio-identical hormones for women.
For years, important information relevant to women’s health has remained concealed by leading Government Health organizations like the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This lack of transparency has had a significant impact on women’s understanding of their own health and the choices available to them.
Women are 51% of the American population, yet we are being lied to by the very agencies we pay. Without us they wouldn’t have jobs!
The campaign to stop women from getting estrogen replacement after menopause began in 2002.  In 2002 the WHI study was released to the public (before it was reviewed or released to doctors treating menopausal women) with the headline, “Hormone Replacement for Menopause causes Breast Cancer and Heart Disease”, and women and their doctors panicked, and women stopped taking their hormone replacement.
In 2002 I had been treating women with hormones for menopausal symptoms and to prevent osteoporosis, treat depression, painful intercourse, hot flashes, dry vagina, chronic urinary tract infections and other diseases of aging. In those 21 years I had never seen a trend of increased breast cancer in women on hormones verses women taking nothing for menopause.
When I read the newspaper, I thought his headline must be wrong, so I read the WHI study. NO WHERE did the WHI study show that estrogen replacement alone caused heart disease or breast cancer. It did say that Estrogen plus Provera (medroxyprogesterone, but NOT PROGESTERONE) did have a higher risk of heart disease and breast cancer than women who didn’t take anything. PremPro was given to women in one of the three groups of women in the study, and they did have negative results. However, the other arm of the three groups of women treated for menopause with estrogen= Premarin, revealed that they had Less breast cancer and less heart disease then both other groups of women: the women who were given nothing and the women who were given estrogen in the form of Premarin plus Progestin. The women who were given just estrogen (Premarin) had LESS breast cancer and Less heart disease than women who took NOTHING! Re-read that….the very study that was misquoted or misreported, mis-titled or was reported for the purpose of saving money for Medicare so it could be spent for men’s diseases, proved that women who take estrogen were healthier, and lived longer without heart disease or breast cancer than women who took NOTHING!Â
I believe this is a governmental conspiracy to prevent women from taking estrogen after menopause. Reading the study may not make this fact obvious to you, but as a doctor who read the WHI study (the study that began the fear campaign)and had 21 years of treating women with Premarin and other forms of estrogen, I know that any doctor, especially the experts at the NIH and FDA HAD TO HAVE KNOWN THAT THEY RELEASED THE WRONG RESULTS OF THE WHI STUDY. This is a crime! Hundreds of thousands of women have died, had their lives taken early, had their quality of life, sex life and even their jobs taken from them because they couldn’t think, or they had impairing hot flashes and painful sex
that destroyed marriages and careers for women in menopause between 2002-2025. There are many follow up studies that show the outcome of this study on women and underline my belief that this study’s results were tainted for a purpose.
As for me personally I continued to give my patients estradiol by patch, cream, gel and bioidentical estradiol alone for patients who had had a hysterectomy, or with bioidentical progesterone, and my patients flourished!
In the same year, I had a hysterectomy and removal of my ovaries, and it took my life away. I couldn’t think clearly at times, I had untreatable hot flashes, weight gain, muscle loss, loss of motivation, loss of a sex life, and generally whole-body pain. I knew talking estradiol was not enough for me. I also knew that the safest way to take estrogen to avoid blood clots is to take it non-orally: Patches, gels, vaginal tablets, creams. However, none of the FDA approved estrogen delivery systems brought me back to health. None of the delivery systems that I tried that were bioidentical worked either. I was the most difficult case I had ever taken care of! By God’s grace I met a doctor who successfully had helped thousands of women in California, and he brought me back to hormonal adequacy in less than a week with long acting (4 months for one dose) injected bioidentical estradiol and testosterone pellets. Miraculously I was back to my old energy and health I had in my 30s (I was 47). I now dedicate my life to treating women who don’t want to be just a little better from their hormone replacement, but they want to be completely cured!
7,000-8,000 patient visits later, of patients from almost every state in the US and 11 countries, I am now the oldest living female hormone expert in the country. Pellets are not FDA approved for women, because they are natural hormones made from Yams, but that shouldn’t stop a woman from being treated, after all, what does the FDA or NIH know about women and hormones if it took them 23 years to retract the findings of the biggest incorrect study that has ever been done by them?
Let’s review why the warning that has impacted half our population over 45 wasn’t fixed sooner. I want your to consider this:  Either the SCIENTISTS AND DOCTORS AT THE NIH AND FDA CAN’T READ, or this outcome was purposeful, to prevent women from becoming too strong and to keep them from positions of power. Or was it to sacrifice women over 50 and their medical needs to save money for men’s diseases?    This question, “either or “reminds me of the Young Life question they asked teenagers about Christ and how they presented his correct place in society. My camp leader stood in front of the hundreds of Christian teens sitting cross-legged on the floor and made us think: our leader asked us, “As you know Jesus claimed he was God. If you believe many of His other teachings and promises, then consider this: Either Jesus IS God , or he was completely insane to claim he was God. What do you think?”
This is just an example of the logic of either-or statements. The right choice in the problem provided above is obvious, as is the choice between the question of this statement: “Either the intelligence of the FDA and NIH doctors are not intelligent and can’t read OR these government officials were part of a conspiracy to harm older women by scaring them into a decision that made them feel terrible, give up their quality of life, even be divorced because it hurt too much to have intercourse, because of one title written by the NIH told them they should fear the hormones that their personal physician had found safe and good and had prescribed for them!
Many of you are thinking, “So what is her problem? She took BI hormone pellets and got her life back, against the belief of the day that the same hormones would cause her illness”, You are right I saved myself because I’m a doctor and I can read a medical study, so I had an advantage. I knew the wave of fear was a lie, and I had to fight my patients and their other doctors to get them to do the right thing and take menopausal hormones. However, I am not just interested in saving myself, but everyone I take care of. When you know something is a lie, but people still believe it, you have to fight for the truth.
23 years later a flood of studies has been released revealing the benefits of hormone replacement therapy. Finally, in 2025, bioidentical hormones have been found by the FDA to be safer and more effective than any HRT approved by the FDA for women. Now the light shines in and gives women the facts. Estrogen/progesterone/testosterone hormone replacement is NOT dangerous, but it is vitally needed after menopause.
Every day I am in the office I hear about OBGYNs telling their patients that they should not take advantage of taking postmenopausal hormones especially in BI form….well those doctors are either not up to date or they were trained during the years between 2002-2025 when HRT was not taught in OBGYN, Family Medicine, and Internal Medicine Residencies. There is a desert of non-hormone educated doctors in America because of the Lie of the WHI study. Women should leave the doctor who doesn’t want to treat their symptoms of menopause and find a doctor who has been trained and has been replacing hormones despite the WHI study.
One last thing that even the MD from the FDA got wrong so don’t you get it wrong too.
The drug Provera is NOT progesterone! Provera is a Progestin..a chemical that protects the uterus from excessive endometrial growth but increases a woman’s risk of breast cancer and heart disease. Prometrium® is the FDA approved Bioidentical progesterone mixed in peanut oil (in a pill) that is so healthy, that we give it women who are bleeding in pregnancy to prevent a miscarriage! Progesterone, Prometrium® are good for you. Provera, Aygestin, medroxyprogestin, are all progestins and all of these should be taken off the market.
In his column last week, Even Dr. Roach got it wrong—he called Provera a Progesterone..It is NOT! Don’t get confused..obviously doctors seem to be….
